The Swim Academy operates a 46 week scheme providing a wide range of classes for all ages and abilities. So whether you're three months old or an adult we have something to offer everyone.

Our fully qualified, experienced swimming instructors will guide you through the Amateur Swimming Association's (ASA's) National Plan for Teaching Swimming.

Aquababes 3 months - 3 years

A casual pay as you go session designed to advise parents how to introduce children aged 3 months to 3 years into the water. The instructor will suggest ways in which parents can give their children the confidence to take those first strokes.

Monday and Friday 1015-1100 during Term Time

Monday and Wednesday 0915-1000 during School holidays

Swim-a-song 3 months - 4 years

Sessions include fun activities with song and rhyme to support the introduction of water to young children, developing early movement and water skills whilst boosting confidence and independence.

Wednesday 1015 - 1100 and Friday 1300 - 1330 during Term Time

Tuesday 0915 -1000 and Thursday 0915 - 0945 during School Holidays

Please ensure that babies have had their first injections before taking part in the above activities. Parent/Carers are required to accompany the child into the water.

Toddler Courses 2 - 5 years

Toddler swimming lessons introduce children into the water and work on skills that include going underwater, blowing bubbles, floating, kicking with floats and general water confidence. Parents are expected to swim with their child unless stated otherwise by the instructor.

Monday 0915 - 0945 and 0945 - 1015

Wednesday 0915 - 0945 and 0945 - 1015

Thursday 0930 -1000 and 1000 -1030

Thursday 1330 -1400 and 1400 -1430

Friday 0915 - 0945 and 0945 - 1015

Friday 1330 -1400 and 1400 -1430

These lessons are enrolled courses and run alongside the school terms. Bookable at main reception.

Swim Academy 4 -15 years

The Swim Academy runs 4 courses throughout the year and these are available for non swimmers to competitive level.

Lessons take place Monday to Friday from 1600-1800 and Saturday 0800-1100. All lessons are 30 minutes in duration and are bookable from main reception.

Adult Lessons

Have you always wanted to be more confident in the water or just improve your stroke? We offer non swimmer, beginner and intermediate classes for adults.

Thursday 1700 -1800

Friday 0915 -1000 and 1800 -1900

Rookie Lifeguard

Friday  1700 - 1800

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available to those who wish to be taught either on a one to one, or a two to one basis.

These lessons are run during public times and do not include exclusive use of any part of the pool.

Crash Courses 4 - 15 years

During school holidays we offer a 5 day intensive swimming course for children working towards stages 1 to 3.

Monday to Friday: 0900 - 0930, 0930 - 1000 and 1000 - 1030

A cancellation fee of £10.00 will be charged if you fail to arrive for your lesson without providing 24 hours notice. All lessons are 30 minutes.
